THE GROOOVIE STORY.

One small change to the back of a tool. It fixed the whole routine.

The problem

Gua sha needs oil. Oil is what lets the tool glide instead of drag. But the same oil that helps your skin ends up on your fingers, and then the tool slides in your hand. You squeeze harder, the angle tips, and the stroke stops doing anything. Most people quit somewhere in that loop.

The fix

We cut parallel grooves into the back face of the tool, right where your fingers land. The grooves give your fingertips something to hold, so the polished edge can do its job on your skin. Same shape, same technique, no slipping. Simple fix, and no one had done it.

About Grooovie Makers

Grooovie was designed with physical therapists who understood the real problem: when a tool slips in oiled hands, the right stroke becomes impossible. They helped shape the grip, the edge angles, and the weight so the tool does the work without forcing your hand into awkward positions. The result is a daily-use tool that feels as intentional as the technique behind it.
